This Route 66 town gave Oklahoma two of its best-loved sons: pundit and actor Will Rogers and Lynn Riggs, scribe of "Green Grow the Lilacs," the play that inspired the musical "Oklahoma!." Learn more at the Will Rogers Memorial Museum, where you can view his saddle collection and short films about his incredible life, and the Claremore Museum of History that houses a Lynn Riggs exhibit, where you can see the original "surrey with the fringe on top" from the movie musical version. Thrill seekers can check out the Cherokee Casino or the J.M. Davis Arms & Historical Museum.
