In 2015, the Muscogee Nation Cultural Center and Archives Department commissioned artist Yatika Starr Fields to create a mural on the Orpheum Theatre building. This Okmulgee mural ties elements of Muscogee culture into aspects of the Oklahoma town's history. Fields painted this mural in the middle of the OrangeFest celebration as part of efforts to revitalize downtown Okmulgee.
