Make the climb up Mt. Scott Service Road and experience some of the best panoramic views of the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge. This paved, three-mile road leading to the top of Mount Scott features a steep climb perfect for cyclists or those traveling by car. Hikers are also welcome to exclusively use the road on Saturday and Sunday mornings. A short trek up the mountain leads to picture-worthy views atop the second highest peak in the refuge. Be sure to use caution riding or driving back down the road. Parking is located at the base of Mount Scott.Â
Please note: Friday through Sunday, hikers must be off the mountain by noon. Cars and bikes have exclusive access to the mountain Friday through Sunday in the afternoon.Â
