The Lazy S Ranch in Frederick features approximately 2,900 acres for hunting deer, quail, turkey and wild hog. Fishing is allowed, too, and guests can enjoy hundreds of acres of native rangeland for horseback riding, ATVing or long walks through woods and pastures. Horse rental is not available, so bring your own horse. Since the Lazy S Ranch grows wheat, oats and alfalfa hay, visitors can experience the wheat harvest, seasonal hay production or pet the tame cattle located on the ranch. Guests may also assist with moving cattle.
This hunting ranch offers a 2,000 sq ft guest house featuring four bedrooms, a fully furnished kitchen, cozy living area, television and washer and dryer. Enjoy quiet, comfortable country living while having enough room to sleep 10 people. Also enjoy the 700 native pecan trees, nice picnic area on Deep Red Creek and clear stars at night. Lazy S Ranch is located just 12 miles from the Hackberry Flat Wetlands Project, only three miles north of Lake Frederick and a short 24 mile drive from the beautiful Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge.
