Joe Thornton Archery Range

Add to plan Remove from plan

Archery has been an integral part of the Cherokee tradition for hundreds of years, and those hoping to hone their skills will find plenty of opportunities at the Joe Thornton Archery Range. Located just west of the main Cherokee Nation complex in Tahlequah, this outdoor attraction is the first range ever built on tribal lands and only the third archery park in Oklahoma. The park features a 70-meter, Olympic-style range with a 125-foot awning, as well as a tower and 3-D target range, which is available for a small fee on Mondays and Thursdays. Admission is free and open to the public. Regular targets are available, and children can even take aim at several dinosaur targets.
