A Tulsa institution, Jamil's has been in business for more than six decades, though it was forced to move to a new location on 51st Street in 2008 because of a freeway expansion. The look may be different, but the restaurant still serves its complementary Lebanese appetizers with every entrée, and the walls are still dotted with photos of the many celebrities like Mickey Mantle and Muhammad Ali who have dropped in over the years. The thick, juicy cuts of meat are accented by perhaps the best tabouli in town.
