The Jacobson House Native Art Center in Norman is the former residence of Swedish-born Oscar Jacobson (1882-1966), first director University of Oklahoma's School of Art and 1949 Oklahoma Hall of Fame inductee. Built in 1917, this historic art gallery is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. 

Jacobson mentored the Kiowa Five in this home, who were a group of American Indian artists that ushered in the Native American Art Movement of the 1920s. Gathering at the Jacobson House to sing, dance and tell Kiowa stories, the Kiowa Five went onto gain international recognition.

Today, the Jacobson House Native Art Center is still a gathering place and gallery for experiencing art and fostering conversation. Guests will enjoy the home's unique Swedish motifs, including wooden scrollwork, classical columns and the gallery-like formal living space. Through its many events and activities, the Jacobson House captures the enduring spirit of the Kiowa Five.
