Historic Stockyards City

What began in 1910 as the Oklahoma National Stockyards Company, a public livestock market, has since become Historic Stockyards City. This uniquely Western district offers over 70 businesses specializing in Western wear, rustic furniture, farm and ranch needs and fine dining. Other attractions include the Rodeo Opry, Cattlemen's Steakhouse, Shorty's Caboy Hattery, Langston's Western Wear and more.  

Visitors to Historic Stockyards City will be greeted by original brick buildings and historic, time-honored businesses. Witness as Oklahoma City's colorful history is showcased and brought to life within the district, which hosts a variety of events each year and is a popular tourist destination. Historic Stockyards City is on the National Register of Historic Places.

Located in the heart of Oklahoma City's "Horse Show Capitol of the World," Historic Stockyards City offers warm hospitality to visitors from around the world.  See Oklahoma cowboys working the livestock at the largest stocker/feeder cattle market in the world. Don't miss the annual Cowboy Christmas Parade on the first Saturday in December. Livestock auctions are also held every Monday and Tuesday beginning at 8am.
