Transport yourself to a more genteel time with a stay at the Graham-Carroll House Bed & Breakfast. You will love this three story English Tudor Manor House located in the Founders Place Historic District in Muskogee. The new owners have recently restored it, preserving as many of the historic qualities as possible. This private residence is welcoming corporate travelers as well as guests for romantic overnight stays, retreats, weddings, parties and other special occasions.
The home has five guest rooms available that are located throughout the three levels. Each room has a queen sized bed and its own private bath. Every room is unique in its style and furnishings, so you may want to come back again and again to stay in each one of them.
The Garden Room, which is the only room that has its own private entrance located directly off the parking area, is located on the first floor. This lovely room has been remodeled with a fabulous bathroom that can accommodate most physical needs. The oversized shower, which features plenty of space for two people, has beautiful tile work, a built-in bench and no threshold. There is a rainfall shower head coming down from the ceiling, as well as a wand on the wall. The bed is comfortably firm.
The Honeymoon Suite is located on the second floor and has wedding theme decorations. The queen size brass bed is firm and cushiony. Dim the lights and enjoy the oversized jetted tub that's the perfect size for two people. There is also a free standing glass shower.
The Magnolia Room is also located on the second floor. Soothing blue and grey decor with a tall wooden bed make this a time-honored favorite. Step up into the bed and feel like you are lying in a cloud. The bed is soft and very comfortable. The attached bath has the original black and white basket weave tile and pedestal sink. The tub and shower combination features a jetted tub.
The Aspen Room is located on the third floor. With high vaulted ceilings and a hand crafted log bed, it has a more masculine and outdoorsy decor. Look up and see the chandelier that is shaped like branches. The attached bathroom has a marble floor and walls with a standard tub and shower combination.
The Silk Stocking Room is also located on the third floor. This lovely room has high vaulted ceilings with a chandelier. The antique mantle has an electric fireplace that can turn the heat off/on, so it can also be enjoyed in the summer. Dim the chandelier in the bathroom and soak in the antique claw foot tub.
The main areas are also welcome to be used if private events are not taking place. The Conservatory is sunny and a year round favorite to sit and sip a drink or relax with a good book. It overlooks the garden area and koi pond. The Pergola is located in the back corner of the yard and is the preferred location for wedding ceremonies, as its quite shady and private. It has lighting for the evening and a ceiling fan in case there isn't a breeze.
The Rooftop Balcony is accessed from the third floor hallway. From here, you'll be able to enjoy views from over the tree tops. It is quiet and private, and a favorite place to enjoy the evening breezes and look at the stars.
Overnight stays include a delicious breakfast that will be served in the dining room, conservatory or, if weather permits, on the terrace by request. The menu and recipes change to incorporate the seasonal availability. Guests' dietary needs will be taken into consideration when planning the menu.
