Add to plan Remove from plan

The Fort Gibson National Cemetery was established as a national cemetery in 1868 as a burial place for veterans from the Revolutionary War to Persian Gulf War. Self guided walking tours are available. Located in Muskogee County one mile northeast of Fort Gibson, the cemetery is situated on land that was once part of the military reservation and is within the limits of the Cherokee Nation. Fort Gibson National Cemetery was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on May 20, 1999.
