Eliza Cruce Hall Doll Collection

Add to plan Remove from plan

Housed within the Ardmore Public Library, an impressive collection of the world's finest and rare examples of doll maker's art. The collection of the approximately 300 rare and antique dolls started in 1936 when Ms. Hall (the niece of the state's second governor, Lee Cruce) purchased a doll on a trip to Europe. See porcelain, bisque, leather, wood and wax dolls on display. A highlight of the collection are carved wood French dolls that were once owned by Marie Antoinette.
