Cookson Bend Campground

Add to plan Remove from plan

Operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Cookson Bend Campground sits on a peninsula on the eastern shores of Lake Tenkiller, providing a scenic area for visitors and campers to enjoy. This campground offers 65 non-electric tent campsites, as well as 64 RV campsites, many of which are back-in sites. Of the RV campsites, most feature 30-amp electric hookups, but there are some with 50-amp electric hookups.

The two group picnic shelters in Cookson Bend Campground both feature electricity and are reservable for the public. Restrooms with drinking water and hot-water showers are available on-site. Take the kids down to the swim beach or playground to run around, or go hiking along the beautiful shores of the lake. Boating and fishing are other activities that can be enjoyed, as boat ramps provide easy access to the lake. A host is on duty at Cookson Bend Campground from April through September.
