This museum is dedicated to the history of the Chickasaw Tribe, from their Trail of Tears removal from the deep South to Oklahoma settlement and statehood. The Chickasaw Council House and Museum located in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, has one of the largest collections of Chickasaw artifacts. Come visit the beautiful Capitol located next door, and the original 1856 log structure Council House is located inside the Museum for preservation. Learn why the Chickasaw Nation is known as the 'Unconquered and Unconquerable'. Tours, performed daily, make for an enjoyable and educational day for the whole family.
