The ODWC Byron State Fish Hatchery has been in operation since 1929. Primary species produced are walleye, saugeye, sauger, striped bass, hybrid striped bass, sunfish and channel catfish. Intensive egg culture occurs during the early spring March-May. Guided tours are available to the public.
