The Ada Public Library has a wealth of genealogy information. Records available include regional history books, cemetery and marriage records, the 1910 Pontotoc County Census, a pictorial history book with details of early Ada residents, and a handful of city directories and old phone books. Browse through the Oklahoma Chronicles on microfilm or search through old Ada newspapers dating back to 1964.
Various historical books at the Ada Public Library include "History of Ada," "Cabin in the Black Jacks," "History of Pontotoc County," "Shotgun for Hire" and "Four Men Hanging."
