Abstract Passages

Add to plan Remove from plan

In 2017, local artist Kris Kanaly spent 25 days and 1,000 cans of spray paint creating the Abstract Passages mural in downtown Oklahoma City. While walking through the Bricktown Entertainment District or simply driving through the underpass, visitors can see vibrant colors in a variety of shapes decorating 10,000 sq ft of wall space. Take a look at the online scavenger hunt list, and study this mural closely in search of a pineapple, gold brick and more. Inspired by passages that people take to get between places, this mural contains diverse nature and city elements, from adobe planes and terracotta buildings to space portals and hidden doorways.
